Special Considerations

Hair Extensions, Braids & Dreadlocks

We are unable to perform treatment on clients with most types of fitted hair extensions, including tape-ins, bonds, nanos, or similar extensions.

However, treatments can be carried out with weave extensions, depending on placement and suitability for the service. Please inform us when booking so we can advise accordingly.

We are unable to treat clients with dreadlocks or braids.

Treatments can also be carried out during the period between extension removal and reapplication.

⚠️ Psoriasis & Scalp Conditions

Clients with psoriasis or other scalp conditions may receive treatment only if the condition is mild, stable, and not currently inflamed, broken, infected, or sensitive.

If there are visible plaques, irritation, sensitivity, or an active flare-up, treatment cannot go ahead.

Where severity is unclear, the condition is currently under medical treatment, or the therapist has any concerns about suitability, a doctor’s note may be required before proceeding.

A risk assessment form may also need to be completed prior to treatment if the therapist deems it necessary.

Important

If you have any underlying health conditions not listed above, or are unsure whether treatment is suitable for you, please contact us before booking so we can advise.

If any of the above applies after booking, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review suitability prior to your appointment.

For safety reasons, therapists reserve the right to decline treatment if they believe it is not appropriate to proceed.
